On Sunday, April 10th, 2022, from 5 PM to 8:30 PM at a downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan location with a view of the Grand River, come and learn about African culture, cuisine, and music from the wonderful folks of the Motherland Cooking Xperience led by Myra Maimoh, a local Grand Rapidian who is originally from Cameroon!
This will be a (optionally) participatory African cooking demonstration, paired with drinks, dinner, storytelling, and music from Africa.
If you like to cook, Myra will teach you how, and you'll come away with recipes! It'll also be OK to just observe.
Spaces are limited and will be first-come-first-served, so if this interests you, please don't delay purchasing your tickets below.
This event starts with your arrival around 5 PM, and the African cooking class starting at 5:30 PM. Snacks and wine will be served and then dinner. After dinner the music and conversation is expected to last until 8 or 8:30 PM!
